 There are eight types of marriages

 1. Marriage of Brahma

 A Brahma marriage is when the groom, who belongs to the best clan and has good character, is invited to his house by his mother himself, decorated, worshiped and given a maiden ceremony.

 2. Divine marriage

 Worshiping a Brahmin while doing Yajna and giving a virgin is a divine marriage

 3. Arsha's marriage

 Arsha marriage is the ritual acceptance of one or two pairs of cows and bulls from the groom and the marriage of the bride according to Vedic dharma.

 4. Democratic marriage

 It is prajapatya to bring the bride and groom together and say "You both perform the grisastha dharma" and do puja and donate the virgin.

 5. Asura marriage

 Asura marriage is when the bridegroom voluntarily gives riches like Yadhashakti money to the bridegroom, the bridegroom's father, the bridegroom's husband, etc.

 6. Gandharva marriage

 A gandharva marriage is a marriage between a virgin and a brahmachari of mutual interest

 7. Demon marriage

 Rakshasa marriage where the bridegroom abducts the bride and conducts the marriage in his house.

 8. Satanic marriage

 The worst of all is a satanic marriage in which a prancing, lustful, or mindless virgin is caught and smothered without being seen.

 The first four types of marriages are performed under the Brahmin Varna and the last two types of marriages under the Kshatriya Varna.

 In Savarna marriages, according to the Grihasutras, the bridegroom should be panigrahanam.

 During the Krita, Treta and Dwapara Yugas, the marriage of a Kshatriya girl to a Brahmin groom or a Vaishya groom to a Shudra girl was customary in some places on special occasions. In Kali Yuga this method is not found anywhere in any cases.
